The Brooklyn Museum Presents Film and Discussion: The Last Colony New York City Premiere

Join us on the Puerto Rican national holiday Día del Descubrimiento (Day of Discovery) for the New York City premiere of Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Juan Agustín Marquez’s documentary The Last Colony (2015, 90 min.), which examines Puerto Rico’s political status through interviews with politicians, historians, sociologists, and economists. Followed by a Q&A with Nelson A. Denis, former New York State Assemblyman and author of War Against All Puerto Ricans.
