From Massachusetts to Virginia, 39,000 Verizon and Verizon Wireless workers have been on strike for over a month.  Despite making $39 billion in profits over the past 3 years, Verizon is trying to shut down call centers, send good jobs overseas, raise retiree health costs, and avoid negotiating a first contract with workers at Wireless stores.

While the top one-tenth of one percent controls more wealth than the bottom 90% of Americans, we can’t let Verizon destroy thousands of good jobs and inflate already outrageous executive pay.

Join us to discuss what’s at stake in this strike and how you as an individual and/or your organization can get involved in helping the strikers. to learn how your organization can adopt a Verizon Wireless store to picket, how you can help raise funds for strikers, and other ways you can build support for this critical fight for working families in Queens.

Anyone who supports Verizon strikers’ fight for good jobs is welcome!

Event sponsored by the Verizon Strike Solidarity Committee
